Expect More Frequent SEC Exams of Advisers

Investment News recently published a story by Guy Talarico, the Founder and CEO of Alaric Compliance Services, highlighting the views of experts that more frequent exams of advisers should be expected.  Until recently, advisers could be expected to be examined once a decade or even longer between exams.  However, using data analytics and by hiring more examiners, the SEC is ambitiously trying to examine each registered adviser at least once every five years.
